The Parable of the Dimming Crystal

                          “Glow of Surrender”

There once was a woman who carried a crystal wherever she went.

She believed it held power, energy, alignment, destiny. She placed it under moonlight, whispered affirmations to it, and consulted the stars to guide her path. The crystal shimmered in her palm, catching light from every angle. It made her feel radiant, centered, divine.

But over time, something shifted.

The crystal began to dim.

Not all at once, but gradually. Its glow faded. Its edges dulled. She tried new rituals, louder affirmations, deeper meditations. Still, the crystal grew cold.

One night, she wandered into a chapel lit only by a single candle.

It flickered gently no spectacle, no incantation. Just flame and silence.

Drawn by something she couldn’t name, she placed her crystal beside the candle.

And something happened.

The crystal didn’t regain its glow. It reflected the candle’s light.

Not its own. Not from the stars. But from something beyond itself.

She wept.

Not because she had lost power, but because she had found truth.

The crystal was never meant to shine on its own. It was meant to reflect the light of the One who made it.

Romans 1:25

“They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator…”

Moral of the Parable

True light is not summoned—it is surrendered to. The soul does not glow by self-worship, but by reflecting the flame of truth.

What might I receive in return?
