Blind vs Seeing Devotional
BLIND ➝ SEEING Before Jesus / After Jesus
Key Scriptures:
“I once was blind, but now I see.” — John 9:25
“…to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light…” — Acts 26:18
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Reflect
Before Jesus, blindness isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual. We stumble through life, unsure of who we are, what matters, or where we’re going. Truth is obscured. God feels distant. We grasp for meaning in foggy places.
But after Jesus, the scales fall. Our hearts awaken. His light floods the darkness. We see with purpose, identity, and renewed clarity. Seeing isn't just about sight it’s about revelation. Jesus brings color to what was once grayscale. Direction where there was only drifting.
He doesn’t just help us see better. He makes us see rightly.
Apply
Acknowledge the blindness: Where are you still squinting spiritually or seeking clarity?
Ask for vision: Invite Jesus to illuminate that area—through His Word, His Spirit, His people.
Walk in light: Choose one truth to live by today that reflects your new vision in Christ.
Pray
Jesus, You are the light of the world. I bring You my blind spots—where I’ve lived in darkness, confusion, or fear. Open my eyes to Your truth. Help me see myself, others, and this world the way You do. Let Your Word be the light that guides me every day. Amen.
