Parable of the Infinite Battery

There was a young woman named Kai, always on the hunt for the perfect charge. Her world revolved around screens—likes, followers, endless scrolls. She bought power banks, traded phones, downloaded every app that promised to keep her connected.

But no matter how upgraded her tech life became, her soul felt low—like she was on 2%, pretending to be at 100. Her laughter echoed, but it wasn’t full. Her relationships loaded, but never deep.

One afternoon, she stumbled across a quiet app titled “LivingWater.exe.” It wasn’t flashy. No trending reviews. Just a single line: “Drink from me and never thirst.”

Curious, Kai tapped “Download.”

The moment it opened, her notifications went silent. Her screen dimmed. But within her, something lit up. It wasn’t just data—it was peace. Depth. Presence.

As days passed, she didn’t need the constant ping anymore. Her heart pulsed with purpose. And wherever she went, others noticed her calm. “Where’d you get that glow?” they asked.

Kai smiled and said, “It’s not a filter. It’s a spring of living water flowing from the inside out.”

JUST A THOUGHT

You don’t need another upgrade—you need a deeper connection. The world will keep selling you power banks for your ego, apps for your anxiety, and filters for your fatigue. But real energy—the kind that sustains your spirit—doesn’t come from staying plugged into performance. It comes from plugging into presence. Kai’s story reminds us that when we stop chasing external charge and start drinking from the well within, we stop living at 2% pretending to be 100. You were never meant to run on notifications. You were meant to glow from a source that never runs dry.

Coaching Ritual: “The Soul Charge Practice”

A daily exercise to unplug from noise and reconnect to the source

Setup:

Find a small object that symbolizes tech—like an old phone charger, a battery icon sticker, or even a blank screen card. Write on it: “CHARGED FROM WITHIN”

Place it somewhere visible—your desk, nightstand, or altar space.

Daily Practice:

Each morning, hold the object and say aloud:

“I release the need to perform, scroll, or be seen. I choose depth over dopamine. I am charged from within.”

Then ask:

“What inner thirst am I trying to quench with outer noise?” “What would it look like to unplug and drink from the deeper source today?”

This ritual reframes disconnection as sacred restoration. It’s not withdrawal—it’s renewal. It’s not missing out—it’s tuning in.

Journaling Prompt: “From Ping to Presence”

Write freely in response to these:

What part of my digital life feels most draining right now? Why do I keep returning to it?

When was the last time I felt truly present with someone, with myself, with God? What made that moment different?

If my soul had a battery icon, what percentage would it show today? What would recharge it not just temporarily, but deeply?

Bonus Prompt: “What does ‘LivingWater.exe’ look like in my life? What practices, people, or prayers help me drink from that source?”

Integration Tip:

Invite your community or small group to do a “Digital Fast + Soul Recharge” challenge. Each person chooses one draining habit to pause for 3 days—and replaces it with a soul-filling practice (walks, prayer, journaling, silence).

Then gather and ask:

“What did you notice when the pings stopped?” “What surprised you about your inner battery?”
