Your Rights and Privileges in Christ

The Parable of the King's Signet

In a kingdom veiled by mist, there lived a young messenger named Lior. He was born in the outer provinces, far from the royal courts, and raised among whispers that the King was distant, unreachable, reserved for the holy and the highborn.

One day, a royal envoy arrived in Lior’s village. He carried a scroll sealed with the King’s signet—a mark no one dared break. But instead of delivering it himself, the envoy knelt before Lior and said:

“The King has chosen you. His name is now yours to carry.”

He handed Lior a ring—the signet of the King. Confused and trembling, Lior asked, “Why me?”

The envoy replied, “Not because you are worthy, but because you are wanted. The King’s name is not a reward—it is a right, given to those who belong.”

From that moment on, wherever Lior went, he wore the ring. He spoke with boldness. He healed the broken. He silenced lies. He opened doors no one else could. Not because of who he was—but because of whose name he bore.

When darkness rose against him, he did not fight with sword or shield. He simply lifted the ring and said, “In the name of the King, leave.” And the shadows fled.

Years later, Lior returned to his village—not as a boy, but as a royal ambassador. He knelt before another child and offered the same ring.

“The King has chosen you,” he said. “His name is now yours to carry.”

Interpretation & Application

Lior represents every believer—once distant, now adopted.

The signet ring is the name of Jesus: authority, access, and inheritance.

The scroll is the divine mission—sealed until spoken in His name.

The shadows fleeing show the power of spiritual resistance through divine identity.

The passing of the ring is discipleship: we don’t just carry the name—we multiply it.

The name of Jesus belongs to you if you are born again and He is your Lord and Savior. So, what will the name of Jesus do for you and what power do you have through Jesus' name?

These are thoughts and questions many have and struggle with finding answers too. So, let’s take a look at what salvation brings into the picture.

This is sacred ground—where identity, authority, and intimacy converge. Let’s walk slowly here, like barefooted on holy soil.

Your Rights and Privileges in Christ

When you are in Christ, you are not merely a follower—you are reborn, adopted, and enthroned in spiritual authority. Scripture paints a vivid picture of this:

You are a child of God: “To all who received Him… He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12).

You are a co-heir with Christ: Everything Christ has access to, you share in (Romans 8:17). “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

You are seated with Him in heavenly places: This isn’t metaphor—it’s spiritual positioning (Ephesians 2:6) “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus”

You have full access to grace, wisdom, and spiritual blessing: “From the overflow of His fullness, we received grace heaped upon grace” (John 1:16).

These aren’t abstract ideas they’re legal, spiritual realities. You have the right to freedom, the privilege of intimacy, and the authority to act on Heaven’s behalf.

The Name of Jesus Belongs to You

Jesus didn’t just save you He entrusted you with His name. That’s not symbolic. It’s covenantal.

“Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it…” (John 14:13)

“In My name they will cast out demons…” (Mark 16:17)

To bear His name is to carry His signature, His power of attorney, His presence. You’re not invoking a distant deity you’re activating a living inheritance.

What Will the Name of Jesus Do for You?

The name of Jesus is not a magic word it’s a spiritual weapon, a healing balm, and a divine key. When spoken in faith:

It silences the enemy: Demons flee, lies unravel, fear loses grip.

It heals: The name carries the authority of the Healer Himself.

It opens doors: You gain access to divine wisdom, favor, and breakthrough.

It restores identity: You remember who you are and whose you are.

Your Power Through Jesus’ Name

You have power to:

Speak life into dead places

Break generational chains

Declare peace in chaos

Command healing, deliverance, and protection

Stand boldly in spiritual warfare not as a victim, but as a victor

This power is not earned it’s inherited. It flows from union, not performance
