A Spoken Word for Awakening

In a city of endless scrolls

and silent cries,

Where dopamine hits

are cheaper than truth,

A young woman named Liana

walked the streets

With her hood pulled tight.

Not to hide, but to hold herself together.

She had tried everything.

Self-help podcasts.

Dopamine hacks.

Even AI Therapy.

But the ache in her chest

wasn’t digital.

It was spiritual.

She was tired

of being optimized.

Tired of being told

to manifest peace

While her soul was still bleeding.

One night,

beneath a flickering streetlight,

She saw a mural on a brick wall

A heart split like an EKG.

Jagged. Raw.

Surrounded by words

she knew too well:

Fear. Sin. Brokenness.

But in the center,

pulsing like breath was:

Then Came Jesus. Hope and a Future.

She stared.

Not because she understood it,

But because something inside her

Started to pulse in rhythm with that line.

A stranger walked by and said,

“That mural? It’s not just paint.

It’s a promise.

You don’t have to fix yourself

Before you’re loved.”

Liana didn’t speak.

But that night,

she didn’t pull her hood so tight.

And slowly

The pulse beneath it

Began to beat With grace.

That’s the breath beneath the static.

The whisper in the whirlwind.

The Holy Spirit who doesn’t shout,

But stirs your hair in the silence

And says, “You are mine.”

He’s not an algorithm.

Not a vibe. Not a mood.

He’s the wind that

hovered over the waters.

The fire that fell at Pentecost.

The Comforter who walks beside you

When no one else knows you’re breaking.

So if you’re tired of scrolling,

Or pretending,

Or performing

Loosen your hood.

Look at the mural.

 Let the wind speak.

Because you don’t have to fix yourself

Before you’re loved.

You just have to breathe.

And let the Holy Spirit do the rest.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".

Coaching Ritual: Listening to the Spirit in a Loud World

This ritual is designed for seekers who feel spiritually numb, digitally overwhelmed, or emotionally fragmented.

Step 1: Silence the Scroll

Turn off your phone. Set a timer for 10 minutes.

Sit in stillness. Let the silence feel awkward, then sacred.

Ask: “Holy Spirit, what have I been too busy to hear?”

Step 2: Gaze at the Mural

Look at the image of Liana and the mural.

Let the words “Then Came Jesus. Hope and a Future” speak to your ache.

Ask: “What part of me feels jagged, like that EKG line?”

Step 3: Feel the Wind

Place your hand on your chest. Breathe deeply.

Imagine the Spirit as wind—not forceful, but faithful.

Ask: “What truth is the Spirit whispering to me right now?”

Step 4: Respond with Surrender

Write a one-sentence prayer: “Holy Spirit, I surrender _______ to You.”

Speak it aloud. Let it be your offering.
